Electrified Roads will be the future of Indian Roads!

Sarthak Sharma After the success of Mahindra e-Verito, the automobile giant Mahindra and Mahindra has come up with India’s first electric SUV eKUV100 which feature latter’s styling with an electric power train borrowed from the e-Verito (Mahindra's first electric segment sedan). Though the cost is always a challenge in Electric Vehicles, the same problem persists with eKUV100. The car is around 10.5 lakhs. It consists of 3 Phase AC Induction Motor with single cylinder delivering maximum power of 39.6 BHP @ 3500 RPM. The vehicle runs on 72V Lithium Ion Battery ensuring the efficiency of 140 Kms on single charge.  The time required to attain the speed of 0-60 Km/Hr is approximately 11 seconds. The maximum speed of eKUV100 is 75Km/hr. Earlier in 2018 the company showcased this car in Auto Expo but now this could be easily seen on the roads.
