Sarthak Sharma After the success of Mahindra e-Verito, the automobile giant Mahindra and Mahindra has come up with India’s first electric SUV eKUV100 which feature latter’s styling with an electric power train borrowed from the e-Verito (Mahindra's first electric segment sedan). Though the cost is always a challenge in Electric Vehicles, the same problem persists with eKUV100. The car is around 10.5 lakhs. It consists of 3 Phase AC Induction Motor with single cylinder delivering maximum power of 39.6 BHP @ 3500 RPM. The vehicle runs on 72V Lithium Ion Battery ensuring the efficiency of 140 Kms on single charge. The time required to attain the speed of 0-60 Km/Hr is approximately 11 seconds. The maximum speed of eKUV100 is 75Km/hr. Earlier in 2018 the company showcased this car in Auto Expo but now this could be easily seen on the roads. After the Introduction of this SUV, the company is claiming that its major rivals are Mahindra’s e2o NXT & Tata Tigor Electric. ...
